Stefan and Kim wanted their engagement photo in Ubud Bali to feel less like a traditional photoshoot and more like a morning spent together. We started at Ubud Valley Resort just after sunrise, making the most of the soft morning light and the lush tropical surroundings.
For their first look, they kept things relaxed in soft sage outfits. We photographed them around their private villa, where they had enjoyed a romantic dinner the night before. The dinner setup was still there, which made the photos feel especially personal and connected to their stay.
For the second part of the session, they changed into something a little more playful. Stefan wore an orange shirt while Kim paired a black crop top with green trousers. The colours worked beautifully against the deep tropical greens of the resort, adding a little more character and contrast to the images.
And then came the most relaxed part of the morning. They changed into striped pyjamas and headed straight for the pool. We photographed them swimming, floating, and simply enjoying the water together. It became less about posing and more about capturing the two of them exactly as they were.
What we love most about this engagement photo in Ubud Bali is how naturally it moves between intimate, playful, and completely carefree moments. From a romantic dinner setting to a tropical garden and finally into the pool, the whole morning feels like a little story of Stefan and Kim enjoying their time together in Ubud.
