Mentoring and Workshops

As you know in 2016 I’ve been selected to be one of Fujifilm Indonesia’s brand ambassador. Ever since I’ve been actively doing a mentoring session and photography workshop to talk about wedding photography and the industry.

These workshops have been held all around Indonesia including Jakarta, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Bali, Solo, Banjarmasin, Makassar. Some of the workshops were done alongside the launching of the new Fujifilm camera. I hope my dedication to education and my experience of running a full-time photography business could bring another great artist into the world!

2016

FUJITALK YOGYAKARTA

It’s my first mentoring workshop series with Fujifilm Indonesia. The workshop was held in Eastparc Hotel Yogyakarta. The topic was how to shoot a wedding or pre-wedding with Fujifilm Camera.

BALI

Second series of my Fujitalk workshop. The workshop was held in my hometown, Bali. Unlike now, in 2016 not so many photographers in Bali were using a Fujifilm camera as their main gear. So in this workshop I explained the reason why I chose the APSC camera instead of medium format.

JAKARTA

The most anticipated of the Fujitalk workshop series held in Artotel Jakarta. The topic was about “Utilizing Available Light for Wedding Photography”

We discuss in depth about how to achieve light and airy look in the photos with available light in different lighting situation or condition. The workshop was followed with extensive Q&A session with the attendees.

MAKASSAR

In conjunction with the launch of Fujifilm’s large format printing machine, the workshop was held with the topic of “Basic Lighting and Color for Wedding and Engagement Photography”

The aim of this series are to show the attendees on how to achieve the beautiful colors and how it translated into the printing materials as the final product.

SOLO

After the launcing of GFX 50S in Indonesia, Fujifilm become more and more considered by the professionals. So Fujifilm also push the workshop event further more often, the workshop was held with the topic of “Wedding Photography with Fujifilm X-Series”

PHOTOWALK YOGYAKARTA

It’s the first time since the last four series that we combine the wedding photography workshop with a practical in location photo session.

We started with short theory about utilising the natural light on location. as well as possing, and composition. Then followed with 2 hours photography session with couple model. The photo session was held in Gumuk Pasir Parangkusumo, a sand dunes area in the southern part of Yogyakarta.

FUJITALK BANJARMASIN

This series has similar topic to the one on Jakarta. Held in Treepark Hotel Banjarmasin. The topic was about “Utilizing Available Light for Wedding Photography”

The workshop was followed with 2 hours practical photography session around the hotel garden.

FUJIFILM X-PLORE PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP

Another series from Fujifilm event in collaboration with few Fujifilm X-Photographers. This 3 days photography workshop includes editorial photoshoot at Bali’s beach. The goal of this workshop is to learn and practice photography techniques and include both learning time and a hands-on editorial shoot. This photo shoot is meant to improve skills and build portfolios.

FUJIFILM X-T3 LAUNCHING

This event is not a dedicated workshop event, It’s part of the new camera launching event from Fujifilm Indonesia. This event is open for public and since all Indonesia X-photographer were there and the attendees can ask one-on-one discussion about photography, gear review and real life experiences.

SURABAYA

Held in Mega Camera store Surabaya, the topic of the workshop was about “Building Style in Wedding Business”

We discuss in depth about how to achieve certain look in wedding photos to make the brand unique & stand out among the competitions.

FUJITALK YOGYAKARTA

Similar to the Surabaya workshop, the topic was about “Building Style in Wedding Bussiness”

With about 60 attendees, varied from professional and hobbies who want to start their career in Wedding photography industry.

2020

LIVE WEBINAR PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP SERIES

During the Covid-19 pandemic, we try to keep the positive vibe alive. using the online meeting app, we held the Fujitalk series virtually. This 2 hours live session discussed in depth about starting the business and building the unique style in wedding photography.
