A magical day of Serene and Gerard’s Bali Family vacation photo at Melasti Beach Ungasan. It is lucky for them as they wanted to shoot in Bali in December, where it’s usually rain in Bali. But the day turns out sunny and very warm, well actually it was so hot!

The kids were happily swimming when I arrived at Banyan Tree Resort Ungasan where they are staying. We did a couple of shots at the resort before going to Melasti Beach. We did the session at around 4 pm it’s unusual for me to shoot at the beach this early, but as the families have some dinner to do we did the session earlier.
Turns our shooting with the harsh light wasn’t so bad…
Shooting kids or children is quite challenging for any photographer. We have to check on their mood, play with them to make sure they are happy. Most of the time I let them do what they want to do like running, playing with the sand, it would cheer them up. It can be difficult if we ask to ask the kids to pose in front of the camera.
