It felt especially meaningful to meet Deeson and Chloe again after so many years. I first photographed them back in 2018 for their maternity session, when they were still waiting for their baby to arrive. This time, we met at Hoshinoya Bali for their Hoshinoya Ubud Family Photography, celebrating their daughter’s birthday. Seeing them now as a family made the session feel even more personal.
Hoshinoya Bali has become a popular choice for family photography because of its peaceful atmosphere and unique design. The resort is surrounded by lush greenery, layered pools, and quiet pathways that create a calm and intimate setting. Unlike busy locations, everything here feels slower and more private, which works beautifully for families who want natural, relaxed photos.
We began the photo session early in the morning to catch the warm sun. The light was still soft, filtering gently through the trees and across the pathways. The resort was quiet, and the peaceful atmosphere made everything feel relaxed from the start. Morning sessions here work beautifully, especially for families, as the temperature is cooler and kids are usually fresh and happy.
We started with a simple walk along the pathways. Their daughter was curious and excited, exploring the surroundings while Deeson and Chloe followed closely behind. There was no need for heavy posing. The environment naturally encouraged real interactions — holding hands, laughing, and enjoying the quiet morning together.
As the sun slowly rose higher, the warm light created a soft glow around the greenery and wooden structures. The natural tones of the resort made everything feel timeless and elegant. The family moved comfortably from one area to another, and the session flowed without any rush.
Since the session was also to celebrate their daughter’s birthday, the mood stayed light and playful. They brought a pink cake decorated with a unicorn and a small candle to celebrate Chiana’s third birthday. She looked excited seeing the cake, while Deeson and Chloe gathered close beside her.
By the end of the session, it felt less like a photoshoot and more like documenting a meaningful milestone. From their maternity session in 2018 to celebrating their daughter’s birthday, this Hoshinoya Ubud Family Photography captured another chapter of their story in a peaceful and beautiful setting.
