A morning at Blangsinga Waterfall always feels calm before the crowds arrive. The sound of the water, fresh air, and soft sunlight create a peaceful setting, perfect for a relaxed bali waterfall family session. That’s exactly how Grace and her family began their photoshoot.
We planned the photoshoot between 8 to 9 AM, which is usually the best time at the waterfall. During this hour, the light is already bright enough, but the area is still quiet and not too crowded. The sun begins to shine gently into the waterfall area, creating a natural glow without being too harsh. This timing also makes it more comfortable for families, especially with kids who want to move and play freely.
Grace and her family chose matching white outfits for the session. The simple color worked beautifully against the darker tones of the rocks and the greenery surrounding the waterfall. White outfits also reflected the morning light, giving the photos a clean and timeless look. Instead of feeling overly styled, their outfits looked natural and effortless in the environment.
We started slowly, allowing everyone to settle into the location. Their sons quickly became excited by the sound of the water. they walked closer, watching the waterfall, then started playing near the shallow area. Soon, they were happily splashing their feet and moving around freely. These playful moments are what make a Bali waterfall family session feel genuine and full of life.
One of the reasons Blangsinga Waterfall works so well for family photos is the variety of textures in one location. There are stone steps, shallow water areas, lush greenery, and the dramatic waterfall in the background. This allows the session to flow naturally without needing to move far. Families can walk, sit, or play, and each moment creates a different feel in the photos.
The peaceful morning atmosphere also helped keep the experience comfortable. Since it was still early, there were only a few visitors around, allowing the family to enjoy the space without distractions. This made it easier to capture candid moments and let their son move freely without interruption.
The combination of matching white outfits, soft morning sunlight, and the natural beauty of the waterfall made the entire session feel timeless. For waterfall sessions, it is always recommended to avoid the rainy season, as the water can become stronger and the rocks more slippery. Choosing a time around 8 to 9 in the morning also helps avoid crowds while still getting beautiful sunlight. With fewer people around, families can move freely, and kids can enjoy playing near the water without feeling rushed.
