Matthew and Jocelyn, husband and wife from Singapore, choosed Bali as the destination for their relaxing holiday with their two children. This was actually my second Ubud family photo session with them. Previously we had another photo session in Ubud as well.
For this session my associate photographer Eka met them at the location, they were staying at Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, situated in the cultural heart of Bali, Ubud. Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, is known for offering a high level of luxury and a unique, immersive experience in a tranquil setting along the Ayung River nearby rice paddies.

So it was, during one relaxed morning, the breezy Ubud sun makes all family members look beautiful, like a bit of blush on their cheeks, flawlessly healthy. It is important for me as a photographer to create a bond, like breaking the ice in family photo sessions where children are involved. Mattherw and Jocelyn’s family was wearing a tropical leaf-printed outfit. It’s a good choice for a family photo shoot in a Mandapa Ubud. I have to say we worked pretty well for the photo session, even though the eldest was crying in the middle of the photo session for a while. I am pretty sure,if they looked at the pictures again, they would laugh together. For the family photo session I kept the shoot as natural and spontaneous as possible because toddler and baby are naturally adorable in candid moments.
