Tamara and Daniel’s Karangasem beach engagement session was calm, intimate, and beautifully connected to nature, showcasing the quieter side of East Bali. We began the session early in the morning at Virgin Beach, a hidden beach that is especially perfect for sunrise engagement photos.
Virgin Beach is one of the best locations in Karangasem for an engagement session because it faces east, allowing soft morning light to gently illuminate the shoreline. Starting early not only gave us beautiful sunrise tones, but also privacy. Unlike Bali’s more popular beaches, Virgin Beach is rarely visited, especially in the early hours. This allowed Tamara and Daniel to enjoy the space fully, making the beach feel like it belonged only to them. The quiet waves, pale sand, and pastel sky created a relaxed and romantic atmosphere that set the tone for the entire engagement session.
The session focused on natural movement and connection. Walking barefoot along the shoreline, sharing quiet moments, and letting the morning light guide the pace, their engagement photos feel effortless and timeless. For the second location, we continued the engagement session at Tukad Cepung Waterfall, located around one hour’s drive from Virgin Beach. Tukad Cepung is one of Bali’s most unique waterfalls, hidden inside a canyon where sunlight streams through the opening above. The dramatic rock formations, flowing water, and soft light beams created a completely different mood from the beach, adding depth and variety to Tamara and Daniel’s engagement story.
Photographing at Tukad Cepung brought a sense of adventure to the session. Standing in shallow water, surrounded by towering cliffs and misty light, their connection felt even more powerful against the raw natural setting. Combining Virgin Beach in Karangasem with Tukad Cepung waterfall allowed this engagement session to capture both the serenity of the coast and the dramatic beauty of Bali’s jungle landscapes.
