Here’s how you can have a tranquil lake honeymoon photoshoot in Bali.
When we arrived at Pura Ulun Danu Bratan, the 389-year old temple was still covered in mist. The soft glow of the sunrise covered the temple’s intricate carvings and there was no one else around at six in the morning. There were just us as well as Juliana and Paolo, the lovely Brazilian couple who finally got to have their honeymoon in Bali.
The couple first met in Sydney and decided to tie the knot, just a few months before the pandemic started in 2020. As a result, they had to postpone their honeymoon in Bali. As soon as they heard about the announcement of Bali’s opening without quarantine, they immediately book the tickets and contacted us for a honeymoon photo session.
Pura Ulun Danu Bratan is considered as one of Bali’s sacred temples. Built in 1633, it is dedicated to the water, lake and river goddess, Dewi Danu. The massive lake plays an important role in Central Bali’s irrigation. Apart from its spiritual and agricultural significance, the temple is a gorgeous complex, often referred as the floating temple on the lake. It offers a tranquil setting for a romantic honeymoon photo session.
Book a vacation or honeymoon photo session on the tranquil Lake Bratan in Bedugul, Bali with Gusmank.
This is one of our favourite places to shoot because of the availability of the boat rental. The lake reflects the golden glow and mirrors the couple beautifully. It is a celebration of love in Bali, captured in one frame.
