The simplicity of this casual engagement photography in Canggu beach creates a blissfully romantic ambiance. While we heart formal engagement sessions, with long white gowns, I also adore the day-to-day magic of just being in love in casualty.
Gloomy at first with leaden clouds that created a special mystical atmosphere, it then changed to golden sunlight where the black sand gleamed and glistened. Following the sunset, the stone sank into mystical darkness again. The Bali location was chosen with purpose – the contrast between the unpredictable ocean waves and the black sand creating dramatic images.
This session is just that: a couple in love.
Canggu Beach is a coastal village and an up-and-coming resort area that is roughly situated between Seminyak and Tanah Lot. The coastline of Canggu comprises different black-sand beaches, almost all with surf breaks that are popular haunts of surfers from around the world. These include the beaches of Berawa that borders just north of Seminyak’s Batubelig beach, Batu Bolong, Batu Mejan aka ‘Echo Beach’, Pererenan, Seseh, and Mengening just south of Tanah Lot. It’s a perfect location to do casual engagement photography in Canggu.
