Isa and Andy travelled from Hong Kong to celebrate their clifftop Alila Uluwatu wedding, and the entire day felt grand yet beautifully structured. Alila Uluwatu always offers a dramatic backdrop, but this celebration elevated it even more.
The wedding began with a traditional Chinese tea ceremony held at the resort. It was intimate and meaningful, with Isa and Andy kneeling before their parents as part of the ritual. The moment was quiet and respectful, marking the beginning of their wedding day in a deeply personal way.
After the tea ceremony, the couple changed into their main wedding attire. Before heading to the ceremony, we did a bridal party photoshoot at the villa with the ocean as the background. The setting was clean and elegant. Isa looked stunning in her bridal gown, especially with the oversized floral detail on her shoulder that gave the dress a sculptural presence. Andy wore a crisp white suit, which stood out beautifully against the blue horizon.
The ceremony took place at the garden near their cabana area. The concept followed a refined garden wedding style, with an arch designed to complement the natural cliff and ocean backdrop rather than compete with it. The florals blended seamlessly with the surrounding greenery, allowing the view to remain the highlight.
After the ceremony, we explored different parts of Alila Uluwatu for their couple session. We photographed at the sunset terrace, one of the best spots in the resort to capture golden hour light, and also at the signature cliff-edge cabana where receptions are often held. The architecture and open sky created a striking contrast with their formal attire.
The reception ended on a high note with dancing, fireworks, and a toast as they raised their glasses under the night sky. It was extravagant, joyful, and a true destination celebration at Alila Uluwatu.
