Isaac and Caitlin’s Lembongan Bali surprise proposal was six years in the making. Visiting from Australia, the couple had planned a trip to Nusa Lembongan without Caitlin knowing that Isaac was about to ask the biggest question of their lives.
Knowing they would be in Lembongan, I recommended a sunset proposal at Devil’s Tears, followed by a relaxed engagement session at Mushroom Beach. The day began with uncertainty. That morning, heavy rain covered the Denpasar area, adding a layer of nerves to an already emotional plan. By the afternoon, Eka made the crossing to Lembongan, where the weather slowly began to shift.
Once on the island, Eka hired a buggy and picked up Isaac and Caitlin from their hotel, pretending to be the tour guide Isaac had arranged for their trip. The act was flawless. Caitlin had no idea what was coming as they made their way to Devil’s Tears. As waves crashed against the cliffs and the sun softened toward golden hour, Isaac dropped to one knee. True to the name of the location, Caitlin was in tears, overwhelmed by the surprise and the moment she never saw coming.
After the proposal, we continued their engagement shoot at Mushroom Beach. The rain stayed away, the light was perfect, and Nusa Lembongan gave them one of those rare afternoons where everything aligns. A proposal filled with emotion, careful planning, and a beautiful ending by the sea.
