This Gili Putih Sumberkima Hills wedding was beautifully captured by our photographer Satria. Sara and Dave, ocean lovers traveling from Hawaii, dreamed of exchanging their vows on a private beach with mountain views in the background, just the two of them. It was a simple, intimate vision, and we were so happy to see their dream wedding come true.
I had long wanted to visit Sumberkima Hills, but the travel time from Denpasar had always made me hesitate. Located in the Pemuteran region of North Bali, Sumberkima Hills is around a three-hour drive from Denpasar. Satria was incredibly lucky to experience this journey and document such a private and meaningful wedding in this remote part of the island.
Sara and Dave stayed at Sumberkima Hills Retreat during their wedding, where they also prepared for the day. For the ceremony, we traveled by car followed by a short 10-minute boat ride to the private island of Gili Putih. Surrounded by untouched nature, calm waters, and distant mountains, the setting felt peaceful, secluded, and deeply personal, perfectly reflecting the couple’s vision for their wedding day.
Weddings like this remind us that sometimes the most meaningful celebrations are the quietest ones. With no crowds, no distractions, and only nature surrounding them, Sara and Dave were able to be fully present in the moment. Gili Putih offered a rare sense of stillness and privacy, making their vows feel deeply personal and timeless. It was a wedding defined not by scale, but by intention, connection, and the freedom to celebrate love in its purest form.
