Nusa Lembongan And Ceningan

About Nusa Lembongan And Ceningan

Nusa Lembongan and Ceningan Islands are two small islands off the southeast coast of the main island of Bali. Quickly becoming one of Bali’s most popular attractions, these island paradise is a world away from the hassle and hectic pace of South Bali. Beside surrounded by an exceptionally beautiful sunset, coral reefs, and white sandy beach, the water in these islands is some of the clearest you will find anywhere, a vivid aqua blue in color.

These two islands can be reached by 30 minutes boat ride from the main island. The closest port from the airport to get the boat is from Merta Sari beach in Sanur. It’s possible to do the session at both islands on full day photography packages. The highlights on Nusa Lembongan and Ceningan are the yellow bridges (the beautiful bridges that connect these two islands), Devil’s Tears, Mushroom Beach and Mangrove Forest.

The Yellow Bridges

The rebuilt ‘Yellow Bridge’ (Jembatan Kuning) now connecting Nusa Ceningan and Nusa Lembongan in the Klungkung Regency off the east coast of Bali has already become something of a tourism icon by virtue of the addition of colorful night lighting that adorns the bridge. Also known as the ‘Bridge of Love’ (Jembatan Cinta), the bridge is attracting many foreign visitors who are flocking to the beach for photographic mementos.

Mangrove Forest

Nusa Lembongan’s northeast corner is covered with a substantial mangrove forest which plays an important environmental role in sheltering the coast and preventing erosion. For photoshoot around this area, we need to book a canoe trip that takes us to explore the forest. On the trip, you will ride on a long canal surrounded by mangrove trees then the canoe will continue its journey to the broad beach. The canoe is very traditional, the canoeman will move the canoe using a bamboo stick.

Devil’s Tears

The outcrop sucks the water in before it explodes out with a boom, creating the tears of the devil. Not only does it make the devil cry but the spray also creates a rainbow on many occasions. Devil’s Tears may get a little touristy but it’s one of my favorite spots for photoshoot in Nusa Lembongan.

Mushroom Beach

Mushroom beach is an awesome hidden beach close in the Mushroom Bay area. It’s a relaxed beach where you can find a lot of kids surf along the beach. To get to this beach you need to walk a few meters from Mushroom’s port.
