Leon and Belle’s The Seed Candidasa wedding was intimate, emotional, and beautifully personal. This was my first time shooting at The Seed in Candidasa, and I immediately felt how ideal the venue is for couples who want a private villa wedding by the beach without the scale of a large resort.
The ceremony took place in the afternoon. Mid-afternoon light in Bali can be quite strong and contrast-heavy, especially by the ocean. However, The Seed Candidasa has a lovely garden area that allowed us to manage the lighting for their couple session. We used the greenery to soften the harsh sunlight while still keeping the vibrant blue sky that afternoon weddings offer. The result felt bright, tropical, and honest.
The ceremony itself was simple and heartfelt. White florals framed the ocean backdrop, and the waves added a natural soundtrack. Surrounded only by their closest family and friends, Leon and Belle exchanged vows in a setting that felt private and calm.
After the ceremony, the celebration continued with an early private dinner by the beach. Long tables faced the ocean, creating an intimate atmosphere where conversations flowed easily and emotions felt close. It didn’t feel staged. It felt real.
Leon, who is half Indonesian, shared that a few years ago they had considered moving to Indonesia for some time. Although that plan changed, having their wedding in Bali made the day feel even more meaningful and connected to his heritage.
